A Day to Remember AT&T Performance Studio Acoustic Concert
By Duke
Here we have an A Day to Remember acoustic set at the AT&T Performance Studio. Just a few days ago I wrote about the Four Year Strong Acoustic Set at Newbury Comics, and posted this A Day to Remember Review right before they blew up big time.
This set list is somewhat average in my opinion. ‘Home Sick’ was not one of the standout tracks from their latest release in my eyes, and I may have listened to ‘No Cigar’ like……twice. At best.
Obviously songs like ‘You Had Me At Hello’ and ‘If It Means A Lot To You’ would be too obvious because they are acoustic tracks to begin with, but I would have liked to see them play ‘My Life For Hire’, ‘NJ Legion Iced Tea’, ‘Another Song About the Weekend’…I think most of their newer stuff would translate better than the stuff off of For Those Who Have Heart, because that stuff is a lot harder. I can’t see Jeremy screaming his lungs out over-top of an acoustic guitar strumming away. Doesn’t seem like that would translate very well, which is why a song like ‘Show Em the Ropes’ would not work.
I am a little surprised that they didn’t play ‘The Downfall Of Us All’ though…maybe too obvious of a choice as well?
Check out the videos below…what do you think of the song selection/their translation to acoustic tracks?
